Exterior

Let life expand and step outside

Modern boutique quality, traditional appeal

A graceful addition to an established neighbourhood, this design will lead the way in bringing this style of development to a residential neighbourhood.

With a facade that looks more like a large home, this building blends seamlessly into the newer homes around it. These homes will welcome more families than smaller properties can, while still remaining appropriate and contextual to the neighbourhood. Communities need to grow in thoughtful, deliberate ways, and this project will add to the existing appeal.

Mantra-in-MardaLoop_Dusk

Thoughtful design leads the way

With a soft look to the exterior, and generous outdoor space, Mantra will nestle gently on a quiet corner off the main path of traffic in Marda Loop. Set against the quiet lanes and family homes of nearby Garrison Green and Altadore, this is a building unique to the area.

Reaching four storeys tall, Mantra was carefully designed with an external facade divided into masses that are linked together with balconies. This ensures the exterior design is gently broken up resulting in little imposition on the area. Materials were chosen specifically for this project to ensure the external design would blend into the design of the homes around it.

Let life expand and step outside

The design has been thoughtfully planned to allow as much daylight and access to the outdoors as possible, for instance, all units have minimum one balcony, but some have two. The penthouse level enjoys a rooftop patio.

Mantra boasts six ground floor units with patio and outdoor space, as well as irrigation to help you make the most of it. Upper units boast private balconies to ensure maximum enjoyment while still maintaining the quiet and seclusion of a building of this quality. The building is stepped back from the property line, and there is a buffer from each unit to the street to maximize blending into the surroundings and residential feel.

Forward thinking design and thoughtful upgrades like green roof technology help ensure the building fits your values. Underground parking has been maxed out to streamline how the project fits into the neighbourhood.

A Qualified Collaboration

Feeling inspired by the community’s walkable vibe? Mantra offers an interesting twist to those wanting to try out car-free living or who already embrace it. The building will have a strata or shared electric car for residents to use for the occasional time a vehicle is needed. We’ll also have heated indoor bike parking to store your ride safely.

The architect for the project is Michael Shocrylas from sho-arc.ca. He revealed that his favourite element is the entry with overhanging roof, and the top penthouse roof. It allows the light in but acts as a protection overhang. Finishes the project very well and is an enveloping element.
